Leonardo in Milan: Guided Tour of Sforza Castle and Ambrosiana Gallery
Discover Milan through the eyes of Leonardo da Vinci, who found fertile ground here for his ideas, artworks, and scientific studies. This three-hour guided tour, with entrance tickets included, will take you to the places that still reveal the genius of the universal master.
The tour begins in Piazza della Scala, at the monument to Leonardo, where we introduce his arrival in Milan and his influence on art, science, and urban life during the Renaissance.
We then proceed to the Sforza Castle, the center of Sforza power and Leonardo’s creative workshop. Here, we will explore the famous Sala delle Asse, decorated by Leonardo with an intricate network of branches and roots that transforms the room into a visionary landscape, and learn about his work as an engineer and court inventor.
Finally, we visit the Ambrosiana Gallery, which houses the precious Codex Atlanticus, a collection of thousands of drawings and notes offering a unique insight into Leonardo’s mind. The visit also includes other Renaissance masterpieces that enrich the overall experience.
