In Leonardo’s Footsteps: Guided Tour of His Milan
Follow the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci in Milan, the city where he worked under Ludovico il Moro and left some of his most extraordinary achievements. This two-hour guided tour reveals the Renaissance soul of Milan through the eyes of the universal genius.
We begin in Piazza della Scala, at the monument to Leonardo, where we introduce his arrival in Milan and his impact on the city’s art, science, and urban vision.
The walk continues to the Sforza Castle, residence of the Sforza family. Here Leonardo developed engineering projects, hydraulic studies, and decorative works, including the remarkable Sala delle Asse, with its intricate tangle of trees and branches that still fascinates visitors today.
The tour ends at the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a Renaissance masterpiece that houses Leonardo’s Last Supper. Standing before the church, we will retrace the story of the commission, the historical events connected to the work, and the experimental painting techniques that make the Cenacolo a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
